Director of External Affairs

The Director of External Affairs at the University of Florida (UF) Jacksonville Campus will play a pivotal role in advancing the University of Florida’s presence in Jacksonville by leading strategic communications, donor engagement, and external relations efforts at the UF Jacksonville campus. This position will oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy to engage key stakeholders—including donors, elected officials, and community leaders—while ensuring message consistency in collaboration with university-wide communicators. The director will also serve as a critical development liaison, supporting fundraising initiatives and donor stewardship in partnership with UF Advancement and college units. This role will also work in partnership with the Office of Government and Community Relations (GCR) to represent UF in the region by coordinating with state and local partners to elevate the UF Jacksonville campus’ visibility and strategic priorities. This position reports directly to the Vice President in the Office for Strategic Initiatives and will serve as a public-facing representative when needed. This position will be located in Jacksonville, FL at 801 W Bay.
